Ceremony for Sunrise and Well-being of the County

As the town greets the new year, the ceremony attempts to seek the prosperity and advancement of Seongju County from the sincerity and the wish of its people. While looking at brilliant sunrise, people will seek their ernest wishes and happiness.

- Time : January 1st of each year (at sunrise)
- Place : Goonminhwahap gongwon(County Union Park) at Gaya Mountain, in front of County Union Place

  - Drumming at Yeomyeong (daybreak) : drum sounds awaking the early morning of the brand new year
  - Poongmul Hanmadang (traditional folk celebration) : congratulatory performance that opens the morning of the brand new year
